For more than 15 years, I have provided exquisite Afghan cuisine to the valley of the sun, in a tradition of pride and excellence. A combination of arts come together in my life — writing poems and cooking. Food is my love and passion, and creativity is emotionally connected to my physical and spiritual life.

It was my dream to open my own restaurant — to craft a variety of recipes and introduce Afghan cuisine to the world. In 2019, I opened The Mantu, the only Afghan cuisine fine dining restaurant in Richmond, Va.”
